LADDERS

PRECISION MOUNTING

Each solid stainless steel rail is pre-drilled per customer production drawings. Mounts are spaced up to 900 mm (35-7/16") center-to-center and accept supplied M6 hex-head screws through the rail face. Mounts include a mitered edge rosette which can be ordered in Ø20mm (13/16”), Ø30mm (1-3/16”) or Ø40mm (1-9/16”)

CUSTOM LENGTH

Rail connectors allow multiple rails to be pieced together onsite quickly and securely using set screws. Connection points are virtually invisible thanks to MWE’s rail production, which finishes and produces rails whole and then divides them with precision CNC machining for seamless, high-quality joins.

WEIGHT CHART

Selection of steps vs. rungs can often be solved by considering the weight of the ladder. Ladder models that require lifting such as the leaning SL.6000 or Hook SL.6001 may be better suited to have smaller lighter weight rungs. Rolling, Vario, Tangen and Industrial don’t require users to lift so steps would be more appropriate.

PREMIUM QUALITY

Made of V2A (304 grade) stainless steel, offering excellent corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability. Carefully designed and precision-manufactured in Germany to exacting quality standards.

Available in a variety of beautiful jewelry quality finishes

RIGHT ANGLES

Hook ladders are unique in that they enable you to take a single ladder and use it on multiple rails, whether those rails run along the same wall, on perpendicular walls, or even in different rooms. Corner connectors let separate rails read as one continuous rail while providing installers with the flexibility they need. This adjustable elbow rotates smoothly to accommodate angled connections with ease.

ACCESSORIZE

Customize the look of mounted rails by allowing them to extend into a front-end mount. The absence of a visible rail edge delivers a finished, seamless appearance that can only be achieved through exacting precision.

STARTING FROM THE BOTTOM UP

Suitable for any telescoping ladder model. Base wheels lock with as little as 40 lbs (about 18 kg) of weight, providing secure stability with minimal force. Adjustable — the base can be easily swapped out for the standard fixed feet to suit different job needs. The wheel material is supple amber color rubber; chosen to avoid marking floors.

STRINGERS

MWE has designed two major design features to allow you to transform any ladder model into exactly the style that works for your space.

ROUND STRINGERS (Klassik “classic”) Ø30mm (1-3/16”) stainless steel tube.

SQUARE STRINGERS (Akzent “accent”) 20x30mm (13/16”x1-3/16”) rectangular stainless steel tube.

All ladder parts — safety side rails, base wheels, and steps — will use the same selection unless specified otherwise.

TELESCOPING

Rolling (SL.6003), Vario (SL.6005) and Tangen (SL.6008) ladders all share the ability to telescope. This means they can go from a 10° angle when in use to a 0° angle to stow.

This features allows ladders to be concealed in a pocket or just out of the way when not in use.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety side rails are designed to reduce the amount of flexing experienced while ascending a ladder. The taller a ladder the more flexing is possible.

Safety side rails should be considered on all ladders and are required for ladders at or above 3000mm (118-1/8”) center rail height above finished floor.

DEPTH : with Safety Side Rails > 6-1/2" (165mm)  | without Safety Side Rails > 3-1/8" (80mm)

  • Use of ladders is at the owner’s risk. Ladders are intended for moderate to light use, and the user should always use caution. Customers should refer to their quote/sales order for further instruction regarding secure installation and use. Better Building Hardware does not accept any responsibility for any damage resulting from noncompliance with manufacturer recommendations. Additionally, Better Building Hardware does not accept any responsibility for any damage resulting from normal use of any ladder product or component.

    Manufacturer Requirements

Safety side rails should be considered on all ladders and are required for ladders at or above 3000mm (118-1/8”) center rail height above finished floor

Loft applications require handles/grab bars installed to aid in existing and entering the ladder (handles/grab bars may be supplied by others)

Solid blocking is required for mounting of the rail, spacing of wall mounts is to be within 900mm (35-7/16”)
